This UK shop offers a dizzying array of high quality electrostimulation devices! You'll find control boxes, remotes, insertables, electrodes, furniture, and accessories. The descriptions of the merchandise are quite thorough, and they all have pictures. One of the coolest little tools available is the ABox, a control box that can deliver audio driven electro stimulation. What does that mean? It means that you can have someone writhing along to music, or tell them that if they make a noise they will definitely be rewarded/punished with immediate feedback. I just love that! There is an electric pony device here as well, and it is a unique piece of furniture based on the classic "suspension horse" or "spanish pony". It has a steel contact bar running the length of it, and it definitely would supply a novel experience. The customer service and contact info is superb, and you can contact these folks a variety of ways. Payment is through credit card, debit card, and cheque/postal order (for UK residents only). I really wanted to give these folks a great review, but the customer service info just wasn't there. The Toronto-based company sells "...[E]rotic massage oils, edible massage oils, arousal lotions, warming potions and personal lubricants." The edible massage oils come in flavors like watermelon, hot caramel, creamsicle, and cherry. They list their ingredients for all of the products. I noticed a lot of stuff like avocado oil, peppermint, ginseng, and menthol. I'm guessing quite a few of these items warm up, so go easy at first. Contact info appears to be email only. I didn't see any customer service information, or in depth and serious discussion of what the less obvious products actually do. There is just a lot of talk about how they will stir up desire and encourage sensuality. I may be old fashioned, but I always want to know HOW something plans on doing that. Does it just smell pretty, warm up, taste good, make me sprout feathers? What? As you are surfing, you should know that there is sound on almost every page. This is another cookie cutter online sex shop. It is based in the UK, so the prices are in UK pounds. They offer bdsm gear, cupping sets, electrosex toys, clothes, condoms, sex dolls, mould your own kits, and more. The length measurements are usually listed on toys, and the clothes are mostly "one size fits all" without a size chart. Deliveries are made by Royal Mail, Parcel Force, and XDP. Privacy, returns, shipping, and contact info is very easy to find. Make sure to read the returns policy, because it seems to appear that they will ask you to cover the return shipping cost on incorrect and damaged items that may be sent to you. The fine folks at family-owned NobEssence recently launched their online store featuring handmade wooden sex toys that could easily double as sculptures. I participated recently in an online survey where the reward for completion was a gift card to Pure Romance. "Cool," I thought. "What could be wrong with free sex toys?" Well the problem is that the sex toys they sell are not very high quality. In perusing their site, I found precious little that I'd consider sticking inside myself. They carry a proliferation of cheap jelly toys and other items of questionable quality. PureRomance.com sells a set of "vaginal dialators" which range from 2" to 5" in diameter according to the product description. I am almost certain that this product is mislabeled; I cannot think of any products meant for the vagina which measure 5" across, much less something designed to stretch the vagina gently. It's this kind of misinformation that really bothers me on a site where the focus is supposed to be on feminine empowerment and education. I found while trying to place my order that I could not use my gift card without first supplying Pure Romance with a credit card number. They promptly made a charge on the credit card, even though my total purchase price was below the amount on my gift card. They did refund the charge after I called to complain -- but this is an entirely avoidable mistake. Pure Romance's main area of business is the recruitment of representatives who are trained to hold home sex toy parties. Given the low quality merchandise and misinformation found on their site, I'd be wary of any guidance given to me by a representative. Buyer beware. - AAG

Laura runs a very small sex toy shop. How small? Try two items. But, they are unique items: hand-made metal toys designed by her husband and tested by her. The two toys, one is a dildo and the other is a sort of vaginal plug/ball, are both shipped in red velvet bags. Payment can be made with either credit-card or paypal, discrete billing is offered. Interesting note about the site: the page backgrounds use photos that I suspect are of Laura herself! Although NaughtyBasketsStore.com is not the worst sex toy site on the web, it's also not even close to the best. Geared toward couples, it offers a relatively small selection of lower-end toys. Navigation is a complete disaster; choose the "Vibrators & Cock Rings" section, for example, and you'll find a ten-page mashup of vibes, rings, and dildos. Dildos, in with the vibes? Why? There's no way to search by price or material, so it's all a matter of clicking through page after page. Policies seem sketchy at best, and according to the main page, there have been issues with placing orders. With so many other wonderful toy sites on the 'net, there's no reason to tolerate the sloppiness of this site. - AAG

Finally, a sex toy store dedicated to male sexuality! They call themselves Gay Boyz Toys, but the toys sold here can be used by men of any sexual orientation. GBT is a California based business and their stock ranges from anal toys and bondage gear, to electrical toys and insertables, and a whole lot more. I was quite impressed with both the quality of the products they stock and the price points. In addition to toys, they also sell some DVDs and have a Pay Per View gay video theatre attached to the site. The Naughty Bag is naught but a slickly-designed affiliate link farm. If you try to purchase any product from the site, you are taken off-site to a reputable adult toy store; it is from this store that you are actually making your purchase. This begs the questions: Who will replace your product if something goes wrong? To whom are you giving your credit card number? And most importantly, why would you bother with The Naughty Bag as your middle man when you could go directly to the source? Keep in mind that clicking on a link from The Naughty Bag will almost certainly set a 90-day cookie on your computer, which will give the owners of the site a percentage of any purchase you make on the legitimate site; consider clearing the cookies on your computer *before* you make a purchase on the legitimate site. The Naughty Bag is the very worst sort of online sex-toy retailer. SMA (Sex Machines Australia) offers some pretty unique products. Sure they have the standard rabbit vibe and a few other familiar products, but they also have really interesting vibrators that I've never seen before - and that's saying something. They have vibrators that look like the offspring of dildos crossed with power tools and this neat little device from Canada that stimulates the clit using air flow. SMA also markets their own sex machines: there's the VW1 which resembles a Sybian; the SMA 001 that sports a thrusting dildo with a built in ejaculation function (for that realistic touch), and finally the SMA 002, which also offers thrusting (but no ejaculation) but is more portable so a user can play in a larger variety of positions and locations. This is the website for the Silver Stars adult toy store. They are one of those companies who do the at-home sex toy parties; where women who are too shy to shop at a local store themselves can get together and have a representative come to them to sell them a select sampling of products. At the time of this review, Silver Stars only offers party service in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and the Carolinas, but anyone anywhere can purchase their products online (though they don't seem to be set up for international orders). Safer sex is a subject I take pretty seriously and promote as much as I can, so I was excited about taking a look at an online condom store. The Condom Depot offers a staggering selection of male and female condoms. Not sure which brand or style to choose or how to use a condom?
